Economic Development
Zapata County is developing a Strategic Plan and a Master Plan for the entire
County of Zapata. Some of the items being developed include the Zoning and
Ordinances for Zapata County, Infrastructure Development including improvements
to the roads, water department, airport improvements, Educational Development,
Technology and Telecommunications Development, and growth of the Tourism
Industry including a new museum, improvements to the County Boat Ramp,
establishment of a Bird Sanctuary, and much more.
